Walk and walk and walk!

ccToday we did Yellowstone, and boy is it huge! We did the mammoth hotsprings where there were elk (there were elk everywhere) and the hotsprings were gorgeous it looked like there were stalactites and stalagmites with water gliding over it. Then we got ice cream and the huckleberry ice cream was super good! Then we went to a overhead view of the falls and some of the water was tourquoise. Then we saw a male elk and we saw a black bear with her cubs, it was soooo amazing! Then we saw some waterfalls and the water was very high, and the creeks were rushing by so the waterfalls were very, very big. Then we saw the grand canyon of yellowstone and there were so many different colors. Then we went to the artist point and we hiked down like 320 steep stairs. The view was worth it though! We also got to play in snow and we had a snowball fight in July! In short sleeves! We saw a petrified log and we drank out of a fresh water creek(which apparently is not good for you, but oh well). Tomorrow is Old Faithful!

Yellowstone

We made it to Yellowstone last night. We have had a great time so far, weather great. This morning is cool, but getting warm today. Today we are going into the park. We didn't have good internet while at Mt Rushmore, so we will add pictures latter. Enjoyed Mt Rushmore, the Badlands, Crazy Horse, Wall Drug. Enjoyed seeing Don and Jeannie, friends from Disney while at Mt Rushmore. Sandy

We've done a BUNCH since last time I updated! We went to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse, both are these gigantic monuments built into the Black Hills, and we saw a cool show at Mt. Rushmore. We went to the Bandlands and they were so beautiful we saw big horned sheep, buffalo, praire dogs, deer, and a big frog. The rocks were so big and some were yellow and purple. We went to Wall Drug and had a yummy lunch, the place was so big! We are now in a campground at yellowstone, so we'll update again later.

On The Raod with Grandchildren

Morgantown to Richmond, IN

sunny 80 °F

We got out of the campground about 9am but had to stop to get medicane for boys, poison ivy. Made good time and went through the Wright Brother Bicycle shop in Daton, OH.. Got to campground in time for the boys to swim and girls to run. LEE

First day on the road and I've got to say its much more comfortable in a RV! We drove to the Wright Brother National Park and learned a bunch about the Wright Brothers, and the street around the museum the houses were made to be like in the 1900's. It was pretty cool and they also had a part on parachutes. Then we drove a little more to get to the campground where Channah and I ran while the boys swam. THen we ate ice cream with a playground with a merrygo round! Tomorrow were on our way to see the little house on the praire spot!

On the Road

Fancy Gap Virginia

sunny 78 °F

We got away from our house around 9:30am and traffic was not bad until we got North of Atlanta. I-85 was a truck race going nowhere, I will never understand why one truck tries to pass another truck going a mile an hour slower. So now you end up with two trucks going up a hill at 45 miles per hour. We got to a campground at Fancy Gap around 4:30 and the view is very nice. Lee
